«Krebs Springeboden» Alpine fram

Visit to the alpine cheese dairy of the Neukomm family

Short facts

  • Horboden

Be up close and personal with the cheese-making process on «Krebs» alpine farm and let us show you the secrets of this work.

Did you know that after a day under the press, the cheese goes into the salt bath? It's then stored on the wooden shelf where it is cared for daily. Between 9 am and 12 pm you can watch the cheese being made and get answers to your questions. Mutsch (full-fat semi-hard cheese made from raw milk), raclette and alpine cheese are made and sold on the «Krebs» alpine farm.

For your visit to the alpine cheese dairy from the beginning of July to mid-August, we recommend an early reservation.
