Further information on travelling

Reach us easily by train and PostBus
------------------------------------

Arrival by public transport requires some planning. Take the Regio-Express Lötschberger (regional train) from Bern to Oey-Diemtigen railway station. Once per hour you can even do this journey without changing trains in Spiez.

The PostBus circulates from Oey towards Grimmialp and stops along the valley road, the village of Diemtigen and Allmiried. Our recommendation: check the before starting your journey because the PostBus circulates with a low frequency.

Extremely practical: the ride-sharing benches
---------------------------------------------

Does your hike end at Grimmialp, for example, and the next postbus doesn't leave for another hour? Why not try out our ride-sharing benches. If you sit on one, the car drivers will know that you want a lift. There are several locations with carpool benches (more to follow):

- Grimmialp in front of Erb Sport for trips in the direction of Oey
- Riedli at the Allmiried branch (near the Wiriehornbahnen valley station) for journeys towards the valley (during summer season)
- Seebergsee branch in Zwischenflüh for journeys to the Seebergsee area
- Seebergsee car park exit for trips towards the valley (during summer season)
- Ride-sharing point Büchsewäg at the Schwenden chapel car Park (from December to mid-March)

### What you can do if your destination is not close to a PostBus stop?

Not every accommodation and starting point for excursions is located near a PostBus stop. But for some of them, there are other options. All other places are accessible only on foot.

- Snow touring bus Meniggrund and Springenboden

Upon registration, a bus service will take you in winter comfortably from the valley starting points to the starting points for your snow tours:

    - From the PostBus stop Zwischenflüh, Seebergstrasse up to Meniggrund as well as to the starting points in-between
    - From the PostBus stop Horboden, Chirel via Chirel, Walkli up to Springenboden
- Mobility station at Oey-Diemtigen railway station

At Oey-Diemtigen railway station there’s a Mobility car. Take this Skoda Octavia for visiting the valley and surroundings. The car is equipped with a ski rack during winter.
- E-car «edrive» at the Raiffeisenbank in Oey

A VW Id.4 GTX is parked at the Raiffeisenbank at Diemtigtalstrasse 22 in Oey and can be hired using the edrive app. The electric car, which runs purely on solar power, is ideal for your excursions in the Diemtigtal Nature Park.
- Group transfers by minibus or coach

Book a transfer in advance at one of our operators:   and take your group to the starting point of your choice.
