Car:
Motorway A6 Bern direction Zweisimmen, 1 km after the Simmenfluh tunnel turn left direction to Diemtigtal. Follow the «Diemtigtalstrasse» to the first junction on the left (Burgholz) and follow the road until you cross the level crossing. Then turn left and follow the road until «Burgholzstrasse» branches off to the right. Follow this road up the hill. After a short distance you will see the car park of the climbing garden «Steinbruch Wimmis» on the left. From here it takes 30 minutes on foot to reach the fireplace.
Train, Bus & Co:
Take the train to «Burgholz» station (Spiez-Zweisimmen line). From there, the barbecue area can be reached on foot in 45 minutes (just under 3 km) via «Burgholzstrasse».
