With the accompanying benches, groups of up to 25 people can sit and eat here comfortably in the dry.
The forest pavilion is located in the area of a storm wooded area created by hurricane Lothar in 1999. The Meniggrund-Flühschwand forest area was designated as a forest reserve after the storm. In order to observe the natural reforestation, the windfall timber was deliberately left lying around. This created diverse habitats that need to be preserved and protected.
