In the habitat of Alpine animals

Guided environmental education in the Diemtigtal Nature Park

Short facts

  • Schwenden im Diemtigtal

What strategies do the ibex or the black grouse use to defy the inhospitable conditions of their habitat? On a hike we reach the habitat of typical Alpine animals. We find traces of the animals and have a great chance to observe the wild animals with a powerful telescope and thus virtually "bring them up to us".

Equipped with binoculars, telescopes and a variety of visual aids, we hike together from the bottom of the valley into the habitat of the alpine animals. On the way, we discover tracks under expert guidance and observe the animals in their natural environment from Alp Alpetli. We interactively deal with the ecological connections of this sensitive habitat and learn from the perspective of the wild animals why wildlife-friendly nature sports have a sustainable effect.
