The hike takes you from the valley station of the Wiriehorn cableways, up to lush alpine meadows and the Wakker Prize-winning village of Diemtigen.
On a varied hike from Riedli up to Chilchflue and on to the Tschuggen alp you can breathe in the refreshing alpine air. The trail leads mostly through shady mountain forests before you reach the impressive high plateau. Once you reach the top, you will pass several alpine farms and notice that many cows and cattle make their home here during the summer months. With a view of the Simmental and the moorland of the Aegelsee, you now descend to Diemtigbergli and the village of Diemtigen. It's worth taking a look at the houses: the village is dominated by buildings from the second half of the 18th century and the beginning of the 19th century, so look out for the magnificent houses and the Romanesque church in the middle of the village.
