Then you follow the flat, little-used road to Entschwil. Take the first turn to the right, past the Meyer carpentry, to the nearby wooded area and follow the road a little further until, on the right in a sharp curve, the forest road leads up the mountain towards Nüegg/Wiriehorn mountain station. You now follow it, first through shady forest, in the second part over open alpine terrain (with panoramic views) to the Alp Röschteschwend. The path then becomes a hiking trail that shortly takes you to the Wiriehorn mountain hotel. Read more Author´s Tip / Recommendation of the author In a bend of the trail, shortly before the Wiriehorn mountain station, is the Röschteschwend fire pit. If you have packed your cervelat, a barbecue stop here is worth it at a beautiful viewpoint. The dessert is then served on the terrace of the Wiriehorn mountain hotel.
