How about a warming coffee or tea at the mountain hotel Wiriehorn before you start your hike? The 6-seater chairlift takes you comfortably to the mountain station on Nüegg. During the descent you can enjoy the view of the surrounding mountain peaks and the Diemtigtal valley. Further down you reach Entschwil and the impressive high plateau with its magnificent houses in the traditional Simmental style. The trail continues through forests and hamlets back to the valley station.

Follow the winter hiking trail from the mountain station to "Röschteschwend". Here it is worth taking a break for a moment and enjoying the impressive panorama. The descent takes you further to "Entschwil", from where you hike partly along the asphalt road to the valley station of the Wiriehorn cable car. The trail is marked with pink direction signs.

Be prepared for possible icy spots along the circular hike.
From the mountain station on Nüegg, it is worth taking a short detour up to the Schwarzenberg mountain restaurant (15 min.).
Motorway A6 Bern direction Zweisimmen, 1 km after the Simmenfluhtunnel turn left direction Diemtigtal. Follow the Diemtigtal road into the valley for 11 km to the Riedli valley station. From here, the Wiriehorn cable car takes you up to the Nüegg mountain station (note operating times: www.wiriehorn.ch).
At the Riedli valley station you will find parking spaces for which a fee is charged.
By train to Oey-Diemtigen station (Spiez-Zweisimmen line). Continue by PostBus to the stop "Zwischenflüh, Riedli Talstation". From here, the Wiriehorn cable car takes you up to the Nüegg mountain station (note operating times: www.wiriehorn.ch).
