Your authentic winter experience close by

The Diemtigtal Nature Park is the perfect place for getting back to nature. The slopes at Wiriehorn offer a close to nature experience, too. Practice the perfect parallel turn, try a freeride descent or simply face your own personal challenge.
The Wiriehorn is also perfect for groups with different interests. Some may want to hit the slopes in the morning, whereas others may prefer the more relaxed way to reach the valley by taking the Nüegg slope. You can all meet up again for lunch on the sun terrace of the Berghotel Wiriehorn (Wiriehorn mountain hotel), before continuing with more runs in the afternoon. End your day at a snow bar for après-ski, feeling tired but happy from the sun and fresh mountain air. A perfect day in the snow ends here. There’s just one more thing to do: share your best pictures using the hashtags #naturparkdiemtigtal and #wiriehorn.
When returning into the valley on weekends, don’t miss the opportunity to take home a local specialty from the Diemtigtal (Diemtig valley) for your loved ones. At the > Burelädeli you’ll find local sausages, cheese, jam or Züpfe (typical Swiss bread).

A lot of snow sports in a compact area

The area at the foot of the Wiriehorn mountain offers something for every skier and snowboarder. If you prefer relaxing descents, then you’ll appreciate the well-prepared slopes around the ski lifts Röschteschwend and Tubefärich, which lead down to the valley. Are you a true snow aficionado? From Homad there are black runs leading down the mountain or the freeride descent. Skiers and snowboarders can also enjoy themselves on the jumps in the snow park.

Besides the great choice of slopes, there’s also a lot to experience for non-skiers. Wiriehorn offers numerous non-skiing options. Without the need for any special gear, you can enjoy the winter sun on the winter hiking trails and relax on the sun terraces. If you’d like a bit more physical activity, then discover the Wiriehorn on snowshoes along the marked snowshoe trail. And if if you’re after some speed, then whizz down the mountain on a sledge following the winding sledging run. All activities start from the Berghotel Wiriehorn (Wiriehorn mountain hotel), which is located directly at the mountain station of the chairlift.
