By car:
Motorway A6 Bern direction Zweisimmen, 1 km after the Simmenfluh tunnel turn left direction to Diemtigtal. Follow the Diemtigtal road for 6 km, turn left at Horboden. From here follow the signs to Gsässweid/Springenboden. After the Gsässweid inn, a road leads along log cabins directly to the hut.
In winter, access to the hut is only possible as far as the car park of the Gsässweid inn.
By train and PostBus (public transport):
Oey-Diemtigen (Spiez-Zweisimmen line).
Continue by PostBus to the «Horboden, Chirel» stop. From here, the Skiclub Stärnebärg hut can only be reached on foot via a 1.5-hour hike.
By car:
