Golf with a difference: at Grimmialp, you can combine the fun of the game with fresh mountain air and quality time together in the great outdoors. The mountain golf course features nine varied stations along a circular route starting from the top station of the chairlift. Ideal for families, friends, school groups and other groups.

Mountain golf with panoramic views: Forget the traditional golf course! With mountain golf, you play right in the heart of the Alpine landscape. It’s modelled on Urbangolf in Burgdorf; the only difference is that here you’re not playing through the town, but out in the mountains of the Diemtigtal valley. The green alpine meadows provide the backdrop for a game that’s more reminiscent of mini-golf. You play on specially designed surfaces and across the natural terrain.

Your mountain golf adventure begins at the valley station of the chairlift. There, upon paying the entrance fee, you’ll receive all the equipment you need, as well as a map showing the locations of the nine tees. You’ll then take the chairlift up to the mountain station. Even during the ride, you’ll leave the daily grind behind and look forward to the adventure that lies ahead.

Once you’ve reached the top, you can get started straight away. The nine stations are spread out along the 2 km ‘Stierenberg’ circular walk. The walking time alone is 40 minutes, but with the mountain golf, shared breaks and a bit of a challenge, you should allow around three hours as a family or group. The individual stations aren’t specifically signposted; you can find your way to the next station using the map provided.

The rules of the game set out a few guidelines, whilst still leaving room for you to set your own challenges. For example, you can decide amongst yourselves within your group whether to make a tee shot a little easier or a bit more challenging. And if there are any queues at the first two stations, you can also play the course in reverse order.

About halfway round the circuit, a barbecue spot invites you to take a leisurely break. Pack your lunch, light the fire and enjoy some time out together here. Further dining options include the picnic area by the self-service kiosk at the mountain station and the Spillgerten restaurant at the valley station.

The final hole takes you back to the chairlift’s top station. You can then take a leisurely ride back down to the valley on the chairlift. Please return the mountain golf equipment you’ve hired at the bottom station.
