A huge palette of natural diversity awaits you. Our tip: Leave room for your own impressions and discoveries and sharpen your eye for the inconspicuous.

Enjoy the silence of the mountain world and set off to the Spillgerte nature reserve. Once you are at Alpetli, it is worth stopping from time to time and looking over to the cliffs of the Seehore with binoculars. Do you spot the ibex and chamois? From Scheidegg you are in the municipality of Zweisimmen. After the ascent along the Fromattgrat is behind you, you have completed the most strenuous part of the hike. A short refreshment at the mountain inn Stierenberg is almost a must. Then continue to the popular Seebergsee: The lake surrounded by landslide blocks, larch, spruce, and dwarf shrubs is your last stop before the upcoming descent. The popular excursion destination is very busy on peak days – once you discover it, you’ll know why.

Enjoy the mountain panorama to the fullest on the return to the starting point: You will hardly find a more diverse landscape on any high-altitude hike.
